This is an out and back course, where participants carry a relay baton and exchange it with the next participant at a relay handover point within the Waterfront Courtyard.
Start Waterfront Courtyard and head west for 1.5KM returning to the Waterfront Courtyard to complete a leg of the relay with the last person on the relay finishing.

Behind The Mask: A Therapeutic Workshop

This workshop invites you to explore the layers of your identity, uncovering the authentic self behind the roles and expectations we often carry. This session is interactive and involves group discussion, personal reflection and art therapy.
About the Facilitator:
Sherrie Lynn is a Bermudian counsellor with a deep understanding of trauma, mental distress, and the barriers that prevent women from seeking therapeutic support. She holds a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Fordham University and brings extensive experience in domestic violence, trauma, grief, and suicide prevention.
As the founder of Pneuma Counseling, she is committed to walking alongside clients as they heal from past wounds and step into lives filled with hope and possibility.

“What’s Your Story?” Writers Workshop
Workshop Summary:
The Women’s Resource Centre is excited to host a 10-week therapeutic writer’s workshop beginning on Tuesday January 14 2025.
Facilitated by self-published Bermudian author Sloane Johnson, this workshop offers women a supportive space to express themselves, develop their writing skills, and explore the healing power of storytelling.
Workshop Outcomes:

Emotional release and healing through the art of writing.

About our facilitator:
Sloane Johnson is an author and writing enthusiast who has loved reading and storytelling for as long as she can remember. She began her writing journey as a young member of the Youth Library’s writers’ clubs and workshops, fostering her passion for creative expression. In 2011, Sloane officially self-published her first book, marking the start of a rewarding literary journey. Since then, she has self-published five books and is currently working on a series of children’s stories that explore emotions and social skills.
Writing is more than a pastime for Sloane—it’s an integral part of her life. Whether she’s crafting lifelike characters for her steamy and dramatic novels or journaling to reflect and unwind, Sloane embraces writing as a powerful tool for connection and personal growth.
In addition to her work as an author, Sloane is a licensed restorative practitioner and trainer, passionate about creating safe and supportive spaces. She brings this same dedication to her women’s writing workshop, where participants are encouraged to creatively unpack their stories, heal through writing, and develop the confidence to share their voices with the world.

Help for the Helper: Managing Wellbeing & Trauma
Are you a woman who spends their time supporting others? Perhaps it is at work or at home, or maybe you are trying to balance the two? Wherever we do the caring for others, it will leave it’s traces on our wellbeing and sense of self. Especially as we all live through periods of collective trauma and distress.
If this is you, we would like to invite you to join us for a workshop on how to manage our well-being and trauma.
We will explore what self care and self compassion means for professions working in face of personal and collective trauma.
This workshop, informed by current research, will provide you with the knowledge, skills and tools to better recognise the early signs of trauma. We will explore how we can attend to our well-being as professionals and offer a range of organisational, interpersonal and personal strategies to address the risks of trauma and its impacts, and foster possibilities for post-traumatic growth and resilience.

The (HER)story Girls Club is a half-day week-long camp for girls ages 11-15, focused on building resilience and self-esteem. Participants will engage in mindfulness activities, art therapy, cultural lessons, and creative coping strategies.
This safe and supportive space is designed to empower young girls and foster growth.
Facilitators are CPR and SCARS certified.
