About our facilitator:
Sloane Johnson is an author and writing enthusiast who has loved reading and storytelling for as long as she can remember. She began her writing journey as a young member of the Youth Library’s writers’ clubs and workshops, fostering her passion for creative expression. In 2011, Sloane officially self-published her first book, marking the start of a rewarding literary journey. Since then, she has self-published five books and is currently working on a series of children’s stories that explore emotions and social skills.
Writing is more than a pastime for Sloane—it’s an integral part of her life. Whether she’s crafting lifelike characters for her steamy and dramatic novels or journaling to reflect and unwind, Sloane embraces writing as a powerful tool for connection and personal growth.
In addition to her work as an author, Sloane is a licensed restorative practitioner and trainer, passionate about creating safe and supportive spaces. She brings this same dedication to her women’s writing workshop, where participants are encouraged to creatively unpack their stories, heal through writing, and develop the confidence to share their voices with the world.
